Request: to add more image resample methods.

I cannot help myself it is very strange that GIMP as image editor 
has only 2 resampling methods, bilinear and bicubic. 

Even famous image viewer Irfanview, 
not primary intended for image editing, 
has 7 ones, fom triangle to Lanczos(3?). 

And even Avisynth, excelent video frame server with script language, 
that does not spend at one frame=image more than a fraction of second, 
has bilinear,Lanczos3,Lanczos4 and Bicubic,
The last even with user defined b and c parameters, changing it behavior.

Current CVS has Lanczos. If you want others, you should code them and provide
patches - or, for a start, you could look at some of the bugs that were reported
for the Lanczos one already.

I would close the bug report as POINTLESS  but since that resolution doesn't
exist I am closing it as INVALID.

Better to mark this as a duplicate of bug #166130.  Poutnik, you should also
take a look at bug #162250.
