GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 305128
Buttons shift sometimes when selecting characters
Last modified: 2020-11-06 19:55:37 UTC
Please describe the problem: The buttons on the palette sometimes become densly packed after making a selection. If another palette is selected, it will be displayed with the normal amount of space between its characters, but may also become densely packed after selecting a character. Steps to reproduce: 1. Select a character from the palette Actual results: Expected results: Does this happen every time? This seems to happen often, but isn't predictable, no matter the current palette or character. Other information:
Created attachment 46762 [details] Before/after image of the character palette The upper part of the image shows the buttons on the palette as they are arranged when first loaded (when one enters a session or selects a new palette from the menu). The lower part of the image shows the densely packed buttons that sometimes occur after making a selection from the palette.
Created attachment 88482 [details] [review] patch Please consider the attached patch. It removes redundant calls to gtk_widget_show and thereby moves the _show after the change of style.
