GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 304710
"Location bar" next to "tool bar"
Last modified: 2005-05-21 09:15:05 UTC
Distribution: Debian 3.1 Package: nautilus Severity: enhancement Version: GNOME2.8.3 unspecified Gnome-Distributor: Debian Synopsis: "Location bar" next to "tool bar" Bugzilla-Product: nautilus Bugzilla-Component: Visual Design Bugzilla-Version: unspecified Description: Hiya! To my mind it would be wonderful if the user is able to drag and drop the location bar next to the tool bar (heard that is possible in KDE/Konqueror?). This would save space/room/surface and just would look fine. Of course this is only a good idea when the toolbar icons/buttons are without text (so there is space for the location bar next to this). Please think about it :-) ( e.viruz@web.de ) And by the way, the "View as Icons" / "View as List" is to big - maybe there would be an icon better. what would a dnd of a location on the toolbar do?
Sebastien: What he wants is that one can edit the toolbars, and be able to drag the location bar/entry to the toolbar. You can do this already in epiphany. This would involve making the location entry a GtkToolItem, and using the egg toolbar editor. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 42834 ***
