I dont think this should be done. As andre said, we can use the column. C+I is already used and we ran out of keys already. Im closing it. Please reopen if u feel u have some valid points.
Hi I've just switched from thunderbird to evolution because in ubuntu evolution seems to be integrated better plus I'd like to start using the calendar functions. In Thunderbird you can tag mails by using the numbers on the keyboard. 1=important, 2=business, 3=personal etc. This is an extremely efficient way to classify/sort through my mails and I miss this feature very much. Why not click the important-tag column as Andre Klapper suggests? - For one thing it allows to differenciate between several categories - Currently, it is possible to search for tagged mails in evolution, but not for marked emails (maybe I'm confusing tags and marks, but my interface is in german, so I don't know the evolution-terminology). So unless I can search for all marked mails across various accounts I need to be able to tag the mails in an efficient manner. I would vote for reopening this bug/feature request. cheers
