Description Thomas M. Hinkle 2005-05-12 11:30:19 UTC
Version details: ubuntu hoary

This is both a bug report and a feature request.

Bug report: The properties window for a song (reached via the context
menu->Properties) shows Artist/Title/etc. as Entry widgets when they are
non-editable. If you only want to display text, the correct widget would be a Label.

Feature Request: Please make Artist/Title/etc. metainformation editable! It is a
major PITA to have to go to another app to rename/relabel songs, especially when
you use rhythmbox as your main player and have consequently gotten used to the
luxury of not-knowing-where-your-files-actually-are (since Rhythmbox correctly
abandons the file-heirarchy model for a nice dynamic searchable-list-model).
