Steps to reproduce:
1. After running the GIMP
2. File + Open
3. Select a drive
4. Use the wheel mouse to browse file and directories

OS is Windows 2000 pro / french
I use the GIMP 2.2.7 along with GTK 2.6.7
Both were installed over a previous install from Windows installers.
The error message is :
