Thanks for the bug report. Unfortunately, that stack trace is not very useful in
determining the cause of the crash. Can you get us one with debugging symbols?
Please see http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces for more information on how to do
so.

You may want to install some -dbg packages .

Can anyone get us a stack trace with debugging symbols?
Please see http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces for more information on how to do
so.

Reopening because of many duplicates.

Mike, that last stack trace is different from the original one and therefore a different problem; please file a new report about it.

Hiding bad stacktrace to avoid simple-dup-finder matching it.
Comment 23 Christian Kirbach 2005-12-29 21:16:00 UTC
Bug 325235 seems to be the stack trace when a rpm with debugging symbols is installed. reporter claims if he usese the non-symbol package he gets the trace seen in this report.
Comment 24 Christian Kirbach 2005-12-29 21:16:44 UTC
ehm, please note that the trace is really different and therefore I did *not* mark it a duplicate on purpose.
Comment 25 Fabio Durán Verdugo 2010-11-26 05:27:00 UTC
Thanks for taking the time to report this bug.
However, you are using a version that is too old and not supported anymore. GNOME developers are no longer working on that version, so unfortunately there will not be any bug fixes for the version that you use.

By upgrading to a newer version of GNOME you could receive bug fixes and new functionality. You may need to upgrade your Linux distribution to obtain a newer version of GNOME.
Please feel free to reopen this bug if the problem still occurs with a newer version of GNOME.
