To let you know, it's not actually that uncommon an error. I'm still trying to duplicate and kill it. Had been listenning for a while (through the CD a few times) and no problems. When I went to exit everything and shut everything down (time for some Monty Python ;) I closed everything, saving the gtcd for last. When I finally got to it I clicked the "Exit" button without stopping the CD (I do this often to let my music continue to play while I shut the system down). Clicking "Exit" caused gtcd to crash and this bug-buddy dialog came up. The gtcd window remains on the screen, but is devoid of any buttons or text or anything (it is a grey/black blankness), and the CD continues to play. Normal "kill" however worked to obliterate it fine (no need for "kill -9") Duplicate: Seems like a /very/ rare bug. I have done this exact thing on this exact system with this exact same version of gtcd and all dep libs for maybe six months (it's a six-month old laptop) and have never had this happen. So steps to duplicate are not really easily written. Severity: Minor. Fix other bugs before this one... It's really not a big problem. Just something that, if you find something to fix it, go for it. (gtcd is still worlds more stable than kcd ;) >How-To-Repeat: As mentionned before: Difficult to reproduce. I have been using this exact setup for six-months now and never have had this problem. But the way it happenned tonight (in a nutshell): 1) Played sc050 Coming Home CD (CDDB info obtained correctly) 2) Played for several hours while coding (in KDevelop and using CVS w/ ssh for SourceForge connection) 3) At end, clicking "Exit" on gtcd without stopping the CD playing. 4) gtcd crashed Debugging information: (no debugging symbols found)... ------- Bug moved to this database by debbugs-export@bugzilla.gnome.org 2001-01-28 11:41 ------- This bug was previously known as bug 28064 at http://bugs.gnome.org/ http://bugs.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=28064 Originally filed under the gnome-media product and gtcd component. This bug has been resolved for one of two reasons. Either the bug report does not contain enough information for me to reproduce the bug, or I am reasonably certain that the bug has been fixed in gnome-media 1.2.3. If you can reproduce this bug with gnome-media 1.2.3, please reopen it.
