Description Roozbeh Pournader 2005-03-15 18:39:32 UTC
Evolution's contacts should be able to support alternate
local/international names for contacts. This is specially important in
languages which use a different script than Latin.

For example, for an Iranian working with another Iranian and a British
person, the Iranian would need the Iranian's name in both Arabic and Latin
scripts, since he would prefer to communicate with the other Iranian in
Persian usually (and quote his name in Persian), but in English when the
British person is also involved (and quote his name in English).

GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/Community/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new enhancement request ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evolution/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
