GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 272882
username does not get generated while configuring mail id
Last modified: 2010-03-25 03:40:20 UTC
Please fill in this template when reporting a bug, unless you know what you are doing. Description of Problem: This is reproducible only w.r.t Exchange connector Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. While configuring id, after typing fullname and email id, username is to get filled by default in next screen 2. But now its not happening 3. Actual Results: Expected Results: How often does this happen? Always Additional Information:
Due to this bug user has to click on 'Authenticate' twice to get 'enter Password' popup.
Asking for password twice is not because of user name not getting auto-filled. Auto-filling user name not working now, as we don't have hostname entry. Need to see if we can do it some how from exchange-account-setup plugin.
Reassiging these to the maintainer 'surfy'.
This defect is resolved and the fix is committed to the HEAD. Hence closing.
This fix caused the bug 314763 due to some bad noise picked up in the middle. Hence reverting back the change that is made and reopening this bug for a different fix.
OOPS. Forgot to reopen. Refer the previous comment.
I don't think this is the issue with connector. When the widgets are re-drawn the entry is lost. Connector plugin sets the user name as expected.
Bumping version to a stable release.
I do not see this bug with either 2.28.x or 2.30.x For the connector we even handle the mailbox!= username scenario and even that gets filled in just fine. Closing this report. Kindly reopen the bug is it still occurs for you on the latest stable versions. Thanks a lot.
