GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 271188
"Settings" window too large in resolution 800x600
Last modified: 2005-01-21 17:04:20 UTC
Distribution: Fedora Core release 3 (Heidelberg) Package: Evolution Priority: Cosmetic Version: GNOME2.8.0 2.0.2 Gnome-Distributor: Red Hat, Inc Synopsis: "Settings" window too large in resolution 800x600 Bugzilla-Product: Evolution Bugzilla-Component: UI Bugzilla-Version: 2.0.2 Description: Description of Problem: When I choose Tools->Settings from the menu I get a dialog window that fits on the screen and the categories on the left has a scrollbar. By selecting any category but "Mail Preferences" the size of the window is unaltered and the scrollbar is still there (i.e. everything works as expected). When I choose the Mail Preferences category though, the window is enlarged and doesn't fit on the display (it's overlapped by the gnome panel). The enlargement of the window makes the category scrollbar dissapear and even when I choose a different category I'm unable to decrease the size of the window to make it as large as was before. So we have two issues here: 1. The Tools->Settings->Mailpreferences window is too large with the screen resolution 800x600. 2. A window resizing bug in the Tools->Settings window after the Mail Preferences category has been selected. Steps to reproduce the problem: See "Description of Problem". Actual Results: Expected Results: How often does this happen? Allways. Additional Information: I'm using the standard desktop fonts slightly decreased in size; Window title in 10 pt and all other text in 9 pt.
