Description danielb 2004-12-30 14:16:43 UTC
Distribution: Debian 3.1
Package: Evolution
Priority: Critical
Version: GNOME2.8.1 2.0.3
Gnome-Distributor: Debian
Synopsis: Evolution crashed while migrating calendar folders from Evolution 1.x
Bugzilla-Product: Evolution
Bugzilla-Component: Miscellaneous
Bugzilla-Version: 2.0.3
BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.8.0)
Description:
Description of the crash:
I started up evolution 2 for the first time after upgrading my Debian
system. Evolution started migrating my folders and after some time (and
already migrated folders) it crashed. The text of the migration window
when the crash occured, was:
"The location and hierarchy of the Evolution calendar folders has
changed since Evolution 1.x.
Please be patient while Evolution migrates your folders...
Migrating `Personal´: [ ]" (the bar was empty: 0 %)

Steps to reproduce the crash:
1. use evolution 1.4.x (1.4.5?)
2. upgrade to evolution 2.0.3
3. start up evolution 2.0.3

Expected Results:
- evolution starts migrating all folders on first start
- evolution finishes migration w/o crash ;-)

How often does this happen?
- first try at the moment, don't know yet if this is reproducible

Additional Information:
System is Debian Testing (Sarge), updated today (2004-12-30). Using
Gnome 2.8 (which also has some problems).
