an uri like way to add task to my calendar from a web page or document.
Last modified: 2009-07-22 18:25:17 UTC
Distribution: Debian testing/unstable Package: Evolution Priority: Normal Version: GNOME2.8.1 2.0.2 Gnome-Distributor: Ubuntu Synopsis: an uri like way to add task to my calendar from a web page or document. Bugzilla-Product: Evolution Bugzilla-Component: Calendar Bugzilla-Version: 2.0.2 Description: As you do with emule with edonkey:// to specify a file over the edonkey network, y think that it could be interesting that something like: simple format: ical://olimpic-games-calendar/1.0?from=01/01/01&to=10/10/01&fromh=8:30&toh=10:30&days=SMTW---&comment="The olimpic games"&referer=www.olimpic-games.com large format: ical://{calendar name}/{version or software}?comment=""&referer=""&otherinfor=""&price=""&place=""&task1="from=01/01/01|to=10/10/01|fromh=8:30|toh=10:30|days=SMTW---|text=\"hi world\""&task2="date=11/11/01"¶ms... When i clic in one, evolution ask me if i want to merge it in any of my actual calendars or cretate a new one with these name. I think these is too interesting. When i see web-sites like slashdot, and it talk about a forum, awards, or anything else, just in one click i add it to my cal. I don't know if these is patented, but... So these is my comment. If these actualy exist, sorry for your time, and thanks to make these software so good. Bye. Unknown reporter: guillermo@cientifico.net, changed to bugbuddy-import@ximian.com. Setting qa contact to the default for this product. This bug either had no qa contact or an invalid one.
+1 Manually picking and importing a single ics file works. It would be nice, if it could be imported just by MIME type (e.g. clicking in browser or nautilus). Current ff+gnome+evo settings do recognize evo to be associated to ics, but import is not possible.
I'm marking this as a duplicate of a newr, but slightly more general bug. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 588093 ***
