Last modified: 2013-09-10 13:59:54 UTC
Distribution: Debian 3.1 Package: Evolution Priority: Normal Version: GNOME2.8.0 2.0.2 Gnome-Distributor: Debian Synopsis: No "Attachment" symbol in mail list Bugzilla-Product: Evolution Bugzilla-Component: Mailer Bugzilla-Version: 2.0.2 Description: EMails without normal text but just an attachment don't show the attachment symbol in the mail list. Setting qa contact to the default for this product. This bug either had no qa contact or an invalid one.
that's because, by definition, if the only MIME part in the message is the "attachment", then it is the body of the message. MIME does not distinguish between message bodies and message attachments. everything is just a MIME part. the attachment icon can never be 100% corect all the time. (see the evolution mailing list archive for an explanation as to why, the message was sent today)
