GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 267393
new junk mail vfolder hides IMAP folder
Last modified: 2004-11-30 21:37:45 UTC
The new "Junk" virtual folder in Evolution 2.0 hides the "Junk" folder I have on my IMAP account. The Junk folder does not appear to be disabled by any setting, nor is it available in the list of vfolders, so I can't find any way to remove it. Ideally, Evolution should detect whether the remote server already has a folder of the same name and act accordingly. This is a major problem for interoperability with other mail clients, as it presents a different (incorrect) view of the user's mail and makes it impossible to see the contents of any real folder of the same name, as is common on systems that implement server-side filtering (many advanced users are likely to have such a configuration, and some of the better webmail services do similarly).
Already a report about "Trash" IMAP folder.
