GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 263100
Ability to use remote spamd server
Last modified: 2013-07-08 11:33:26 UTC
Description of Problem: Currently, there are two ways to have evolution use spamassassin to filter junk mail: use the daemon or don't use the daemon. If you already have a daemon running and you say use the daemon, I'm not sure what happens (normally evolution starts the daemon itself). At any rate, it would be nice to be able to specify a different host to connect to using spamc, in case you have a centralized spamassassin installation on your network. And once you can do this, it would also be nice to be able to specify the spamd location per mail account, rather than globally; as you may have different spamd servers for different accounts. The global option would be useful as a "Start the spam daemon if it's not already running" config.
