Description Frédéric Brin 2004-07-21 16:13:51 UTC
Distribution: Debian testing/unstable
Package: Evolution
Priority: Normal
Version: GNOME2.6.1 1.5.91
Gnome-Distributor: Debian
Synopsis: Ldap connection parameters are not taken in account
Bugzilla-Product: Evolution
Bugzilla-Component: Contacts [was: Addressbook]
Bugzilla-Version: 1.5.91
Description:
Description of Problem:
When I modify the paramaters of my ldap connection on my server,
parameters are not taken into account.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Create a ldap server connection
2. Connect to the server
3. Modify the search scope, or host, or whatever

Actual Results:
All previous parameters are hold.

Expected Results:
Should reinstanciate the connection to the ldap server with the new
parameters

How often does this happen?
Allways

Additional Information:
It seems, that if the connection to the ldap server is up and running,
no new settings could be setup. It is not the behaviour expected. You
should reinstanciate the connection.

Setting qa contact to the default for this product.
This bug either had no qa contact or an invalid one.

Does it work after restart?
Comment 2 Frédéric Brin 2004-07-22 15:02:26 UTC
Yep it does ...

GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/Community/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new bug report ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evolution/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
