Description Nuno Ferreira 2004-01-24 16:22:20 UTC
If I open a message window for reading I can not close it with ESC.
If I open a mesage window to compose a new mail or to compose a reply it
can be closed using ESC.
One difference I noticed is that in the first case the window appears to be
draw twice.

Comment 2 Nuno Ferreira 2004-05-27 11:49:30 UTC
The bug you marked as duplicate refers to a dialog box, not to the
message window. Also, this bug still exists on 1.5.8.
Comment 3 JP Rosevear 2004-05-27 15:12:31 UTC
Esc does close the composer now.
Comment 4 Nuno Ferreira 2004-06-11 14:09:53 UTC
Just tried it with Debain package 1.5.9.1-1, and it still does not work.
Please note that my original bug refers to opening a message window
for READING, not composing a new email.
Comment 5 Not Zed 2004-06-14 04:21:53 UTC
do we really want to do this?
Comment 6 Nuno Ferreira 2004-06-14 15:02:51 UTC
I don't know if you want to keep it, but this was the behaviour with
evolution 1.4. Also, using ESC to close the window is very usefull
when reading many messages in a row.
Comment 7 Jeffrey Stedfast 2004-06-14 16:37:09 UTC
alight. it's been decided that this is not a bug. the GNOME HIG says
that windows should not be closed by Esc, only dialogs should close on
Esc.
Comment 8 Nuno Ferreira 2004-06-14 16:46:09 UTC
So, there is a bug, the composer window does close using ESC :)
