Description ptruog 2003-07-21 01:53:05 UTC
Package: Evolution
Priority: Normal
Version: GNOME2.2.2 1.4.0
os_details: Dropline Systems
Synopsis: Crash when creating a new account
Bugzilla-Product: Evolution
Bugzilla-Component: Contacts [was: Addressbook]
BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.2.1)
Description:
Description of Problem:
Evolution(1.4) crashed when I attempted to create a new contact when one
already existed.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Enter a new contact.. a new contact where it is the same name (though
in my case a different address)
2. A message pops up indicating that a "duplicate" exists.
3. Press Add

Actual Results:
Crash

Expected Results:
Not sure... either a duplicate entry, or an updated entry with the one
that I was currently adding.

How often does this happen?
Everytime

Additional Information:
Actually, upon further testing, it seems that everytime I try to enter a
new address and then save and close the new contact listing the program
crashes...

Steps to recreate this are to simply enter contact, press new, enter a
contact, enter address info, press save and close and voila... crash.

This didn't always seem to happen either. I remember running 1.4 a few
weeks ago and this behavior didn't occur then.

Running: Slackware90, Linux2.4.20, Evolution1.4, hrm.. whatelse??
AMD-XP1600, Gnome2.2
