GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 246232
Inconsistent use of term: virtual folder
Last modified: 2005-02-07 12:41:07 UTC
We need to agree on how to refer to virtual folders. In the UI, I have seen them referred to as virtual folders, VFolders, vFolders. I think "virtual folder" is the best term. At least some users will be able to understand the functionality from that term, and it means people don’t have to understand a new word, vfolder. If there is agreement to use "virtual folder", the following changes need to be made: 1. Menu item: s/Create Virtual Folder From Message > VFolder on Subject/Create Virtual Folder From Message > Subject 2. Menu item: s/Create Virtual Folder From Message > VFolder on Sender/Create Virtual Folder From Message > Sender 3. Menu item: s/Create Virtual Folder From Message > VFolder on Recipients/Create Virtual Folder From Message > Recipients 4. Menu item: s/Create Virtual Folder From Message > VFolder on Mailing List/Create Virtual Folder From Message > Mailing List 5. Folder Pane: s/VFolders/Virtual Folders 6. New VFolder dialog - To open, choose Create Virtual Folder From Message > VFolder on Subject. s/New VFolder/New Virtual Folder s/vFolder Sources/Sources for Virtual Folder 7. Virtual Folder Editor dialog - To open, choose Tools > Virtual Folder Editor. s/vFolders/Virtual Folders This bug blocks bug 246224.
