Description Sudhakar 2003-03-31 05:16:01 UTC
its not really a bug. but annoying. the names are maligned.

i imported from pine. the entry in pine .addressbook was :

ed Felten, Edward W. "Edward W. Felten" <felten@CS.Princeton.EDU>

   C (609) 865-1655

screen shot in pine looks like :
Nickname : ed
Fullname : Felten, Edward W.
Fcc :
Comment : C (609) 865-1655
Addresses : "Edward W. Felten" <felten@CS.Princeton.EDU>

now, i imported this addressbook into evol.

when i send a mail to ed, the name in the cc field of ed looks like
Edward W. FeltenEdward W. Felten <felten@CS.Princeton.EDU>. now this is
not the most desirable state of things. :-) the fix must be pretty
simple....

thanks!
Sudhakar.

Comment 2 André Klapper 2021-05-19 11:09:08 UTC
GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/Community/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new enhancement request ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evolution/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
