Description mail 2003-01-18 12:12:53 UTC
Package: Evolution
Priority: Wishlist
Version: 1.2.1
Synopsis: Displaying Account Name instead of Server URL when checking mail
Bugzilla-Product: Evolution
Bugzilla-Component: Mailer

Description:
Description of Problem:

Would be nice if when I click "Send/Receive" it shows me the Account
Name being checked instead of the Server URL. For new users (usually
ones I help convert from Windows) and have multiple accounts, this would
help a bit. Also for multiple accounts being checked on the same server,
it would be useful to have the usually more descriptive Account Name
there.

Steps to reproduce the problem:

1. Go to Settings, change the Account name to "My Work Account"
2. Check for new mail
3. It shows me the POP server address instead of "My Work Account"

Would be nice to have an option in Mail Preferences to enable showing
the Account Name instead of Server URL.

this is a duplicate of an ancient ancient bug. the problem is we can't
because camel does not have access to the account settings, it only
has access to the url.

anyways, since this one is a duplicate of a bug I don't feel like
spending hours digging for, I'm gonna close this. (the other one
should be in an open state, and I think reported by Ben Kahn iirc).
