Description Enver ALTIN 2002-11-14 12:30:51 UTC
It would be really useful if those annoying error dialogs displayed as
notices in send/receive window.
Comment 1 Gerardo Marin 2002-11-14 23:10:27 UTC
Not really sure, since some of those messages may require user
interaction (like a dropped connection) and sucessive messages may
overwrite previous.
Anyway I'll leave this open for further discussion
Comment 2 Enver ALTIN 2004-03-05 09:22:43 UTC
As of now, while things are being reconsidered somehow, I would love
if this bug to got some attention.

Adding an initially hidden status pane down to Send/Receive dialog
would be useful to move any "Blah. Something weird happened. (OK)"
kind of dialogs there, so that won't disturb it. In case of any
errors, that dialog would be displayed together with Send/Receive
dialog, hopefully containing useful explanation about what could cause
the problem.
Comment 3 Gerardo Marin 2004-03-07 06:39:05 UTC
Adding the product design team to the CC list so they give an opinion.

i'm going to mark this as a duplicate of bug 247373, because fixing bug 247373 would also make this bug obsolete.
a status pane in the dialog itself would not make sense to me, as that dialog would normally vanish and should not stay on screen.
