Description Joaquim Fellmann 2002-09-28 03:01:50 UTC
Description of Problem:

When you select a mail folder (no matter how) containing unread mails there
are some cases where "Goto next unread" will not do completely what expected.
One could expect the following behaviour when jumping to next unread message:

1 Move the message-list to the position of the next unread mail in the list
2 Select the message
3 Display it in the preview pane

There are some cases where Step 1 doesn't occur. That means message gets
displayed in the preview pane but message list doesn't get positioned to
that unread message. This occurs when you enter a mail folder whith nothing
already selected in the message list. An additional condition is to have
unread mail further in the message-list and not directly in the
message-list when entering the folder.

Actual Results:
Message gets displayed but message list doesn't move to next unread mail

Expected Results:
Message list should move to next unread message

How often does this happen?
always

yea, this has been annoying me forever...but then I got used to it and
shrugged it off and now it doesn't bother me. I just work around it
(it happens after running buggy software for a living I guess)

have fun mike.

Works for me in evo 2.4.x as well as current HEAD. Gal is moved to Evolution
source tree. Please feel free to report bugs by selecting Evolution and
component as Gal while reporting bug. I am marking this as fixed.
