Description Carter Smithhart 2002-06-17 00:46:29 UTC
Package: Evolution Tasks (do not file bugs here)
Priority: Minor
Version: 1.0.7
Synopsis: easier checking of disabled accounts without enabling
Bugzilla-Product: Evolution Tasks (do not file bugs here)
Bugzilla-Component: Mail

Description:
In Evolution 1.0.7, when there are multiple email accounts, you must
first enable an account before you can send and receive.
In Outlook, when there are multiple accounts, you can select an account
that is not "enabled" to send and receive automatically from a list on
the send/receive button.
To view the list of available accounts, you click an arrow on the
send/receive button.
With this option, if you want to maintain an account but check its mail
only occasionally, it is more convenient to choose from a list than go
into mail settings before and after sending and receiving.

Unknown version unspecified in product Evolution Tasks (do not file bugs here). Setting version to "0%".
Unknown reporter: derheld42@derheld.net, changed to bugbuddy-import@ximian.com.
Setting qa contact to the default for this product.
This bug either had no qa contact or an invalid one.

you can still send with a disabled account, you just can't receive.
That was pretty much the whole point of disabling accounts, but ah
well.
Comment 2 Carter Smithhart 2002-06-20 02:42:28 UTC
It would be nice to receive mail without enabling - more of a
convenience thing.
Comment 3 Jeffrey Stedfast 2002-06-20 03:00:56 UTC
yea, I understand.
Comment 4 André Klapper 2004-07-27 12:46:21 UTC
still missing in evolution1.5-1.5.90.0.200407191630-0.snap.ximian.8.1.

to me this is a wishlist bug and not a "real" one (disabled means
disabled means disabled :-), therefore lowering priority.

This list next to "Send / Receive" exists now in 3.2.3 but only lists enabled accounts.
Comment 8 Matthew Barnes 2012-02-09 14:39:01 UTC
I think this would just further confuse the meaning of "disabled". Disabled means disabled.

Closing as WONTFIX.
