Description tom_feiner 2001-11-22 07:55:11 UTC
Package: Evolution
Priority: Blocker
Version: 0.99.2
Synopsis: Evolution (RC2) can't read mail from /var/spool/mail
Bugzilla-Product: Evolution
Bugzilla-Component: Mailer

Description:
After I upgraded from Evolution RC1 to RC2, evolution can't pull mail
from my local account (from /var/spool/mail).

It gives me the following error message :
"Error while 'Fetching Mail':
Could not lock '/var/spool/mail/tom'

I'm pretty sure it's the programs fault... because no other mail program
is running, so /var/spool/mail/tom souldn't be locked.

Hope you fix it by the next release.
Keep up the great work. Evolution really is an AMAZING software :)

This is a known bug that will be fixed for 1.0. A temporary fix is
available in bug 206335, and involves setting the ownership and
permissions of camel-lock-helper correctly.
