GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 212295
Can't turn off warning for an SSL certificate
Last modified: 2001-10-12 15:36:01 UTC
Package: Evolution Priority: Normal Version: 0.15.99 Synopsis: Can't turn off warning for an SSL certificate Bugzilla-Product: Evolution Bugzilla-Component: Mailer Description: I set up my own IMAP server to accept SSL connections and configured it with a self-signed certificate (rather than spend money for an "official" one). Evolution properly gives me a warning the first time it contacts my IMAP server with use SSL specified, telling me that the certificate on the server is not authenticated by a recognized authority. That is correct behavior and is the same as other mail clients. The bug is that Evolution does not give me the option of accepting the certificate permanently, so I get the same warning dialog every time I start Evolution. Other mail clients give you the option to cancel, continue for this session, or save the certificate as ok and continue. Unknown reporter: sidney@sidney.com, changed to bugbuddy-import@ximian.com.
