Description Giacomo Rizzo 2005-04-09 08:42:03 UTC
Please describe the problem:
I made a presentation with OpenOffice-2.0 and exported it to pdf. In the
presentations, there are some 3D objects.
With AcrobadReader, the objects are shown correctly, but with gpdf (and kpdf,
and xpdf) they are shown with a white background.
You can see the problem with this pdf:

Closing WONTFIX. GPdf is no longer maintained. Please use evince for your pdf
viewing needs.

http://www.gnome.org/projects/evince/

Evince does not yet handle this correctly. However, the next version of evince
(for GNOME 2.14) will probably handle this. It will be using Xpdf 3.01 code
which supports transparency much better than Xpdf 3.00 code.
Comment 2 Zack Weinberg 2006-01-29 21:36:57 UTC
evince exhibits exactly the same bug. Reopen, reassign to evince.
Comment 3 Karsten Bräckelmann 2006-01-30 00:34:06 UTC
Done. Version set as per private comment.

Thanks for taking care about this and ensuring software quality. :)

I believe this bug is fixed in CVS head (at least on my workstation). Can you confirm this?
Comment 5 Nickolay V. Shmyrev 2006-03-06 20:17:06 UTC
No, this bug is still valid for me. Patrick, are you using splash or cairo backend? It's written in about box of evince
Comment 6 Patrick Pletscher 2006-03-06 20:36:19 UTC
Okay, I guess you're right about this. I use the splash backend. Will try to get the cairo backend working, such that I can test this again. Sorry for this.
Comment 7 Nickolay V. Shmyrev 2006-03-06 20:44:20 UTC
Patrick, really thanks for testing, can you check both cairo and splash with poppler test program (build with poppler) and forward those bugs to poppler if needed.

Read http://live.gnome.org/Evince/PopplerBugs
Comment 8 Patrick Pletscher 2006-03-07 18:11:38 UTC
I could reproduce the bug and it indeed only occurs with the cairo-backend. So I've created a new bug report: see https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6174

Thanks a lot, Patrick
