Description Jan "Yenya" Kasprzak 2005-04-01 10:17:55 UTC
Distribution/Version: Fedora Core 3

I use <ctrl>-arrow key combination for "switch to the workspace
left/right/up/down", and <ctrl>-<alt>-arrow for "move window to the workspace
left/right/up/down". Now when I want to move a window from some other workspace
to the current workspace, I usually do something like this:

- press <ctrl>-arrow to go to the source workspace
- while still holding the <ctrl> key, press <alt> key and arrow to move
the window under the cursor to the destination workspace.

This does not work as I would expect - the problem is the "while still holding
the <ctrl> key" part. When I release the <ctrl> key and then press
<ctrl>-<alt>-arrow, the window under the cursor is moved to the different
workspace as expected.

Sawfish used to work correctly in both cases. It would be nice if metacity can too.

I use GNOME and metacity from Fedora Core 3.
