GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 171825
"Invisible" alpha channel in backgrounds.
Last modified: 2015-02-09 23:05:16 UTC
Look at any icon for a background with alpha channel. A good example is http://art.gnome.org/backgrounds/gnome/32/ wich is next to invisible. A standard background like in the Gnome splash screen contest page would be a wast improvement.
The only problem with using a standard colour is that people may believe that is the actual colour of the background. Perhaps a chequered pattern may be better?
art.gnome.org is not under development anymore. Closing this report as OBSOLETE.
