GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 170368
Internal GStreamer error: caps problem (mpc files)
Last modified: 2006-04-28 17:06:51 UTC
Distribution/Version: ubuntu warty When I was trying to upload mpc files into rhythmbox, the error appeared, together with "file a bug" statement. So I file a bug. If can provide more output (gst-inspect?) if needed.
Please attach one such file or upload one of those files somewhere for us to look at.
MPC issue caught me, so I've done more testing: 1. The files that generate this error are not played in xmms with musepack plugin either. (xmms 1.2.10, musepack decoder plugin 1.1, libmusepack2 1.1.0) Some tag information (read from EasyTAG): Coder: 1.15 Alpha Rate: 224 kb/s Profile: Experimental (SV7) Comment: Rip with EAC 2. I have encoded another file with mppenc (1.15u Alpha) and this one is played in xmms, but rhythmbox does not recognize it at all (no errors, nothing happens when folder containing the file is imported). Some tag information (read from EasyTAG): Coder: 1.15 Alpha Rate: 156 kb/s Profile: Standard (SV7) However, I can't attach the files (too big) and don't have a place to upload them. If you don't mind I can send them to you directly by email (ad. 1: sample file is 4 MB, and ad.2 sample is 1MB).
Come online on IRC (irc.freenode.net #gstreamer) and look for Stephane (nick: leRoutier), he hosts a private FTP that we're allowed to use for GStreamer debugging purposes.
The files are in buggympc: 09 Kamikaze: this one generates caps problem 01 skalary mieczyki neonki: this one does not load at all
All musepack files I have, including those from the mplayer ftp server, work just fine with GStreamer-0.10 CVS now. Tried to reach Stephane to ask if he still has the files mentioned, but did not get a reply. Rafa, could you re-try your .mpc files with up-to-date versions of GStreamer-0.10 or make them available somewhere online? Please re-open bug if this is still a problem with GStreamer-0.10.
