GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 1702
Autohide should work for side hiding as well.
Last modified: 2015-03-24 13:00:35 UTC
Package: panel Severity: wishlist 1) I don't like the Win95-a-like panel auto-hide feature... I love the manual panel hide feature actvivated using the hide buttons - would it be possible to let me select which hide 'method' to use for an auto-hide, so I could have my panel auto-hide in the same way it hides when I click the hide-button? You would have to pick which direction it would disappear in when configuring the option, and then just float over the buttons to get it to re-emerge! That would be cool... 2) A big hearty second for the wishlist item already contributed about having a 'no-hide' option for applets, so when you hide the panel it doesn't hide the crucial stuff - unless perhaps you click the hide button again, in case you really do need /all/ the screen! Package: pager-applet Severity: wishlist 1) It would be nice if you could choose which side of the pager the tasklist appears on... I have my pager on a corner panel at bottom-right, horizontal, so it jumps the pager around every time I open a new task - if I could put the tasklist on the left of the pager it would be much cooler :) Many thanks for all your hard work people... Well the first two are still relevant, the pager one isn't. The second panel item is covered by another bug, so I'll make this bug be about the first item. BTW, please file separate issues as separate bugs
