Description Sven Broeckling 2005-02-12 11:33:22 UTC
Distribution: Debian 3.1
Package: nautilus
Severity: normal
Version: GNOME2.9.91 2.9.91
Gnome-Distributor: Ubuntu
Synopsis: Nautilus crashes while moving images
Bugzilla-Product: nautilus
Bugzilla-Component: general
Bugzilla-Version: 2.9.91
BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.9.1)
Description:
Description of the crash:
Due to sorting some hundred images, i create several new folders, cwd
into them and "paste" other directories in there. In some cases,
Nautilus crashes while moving directories (after pressing Ctr-V).

Steps to reproduce the crash:
1. I didn't find a way to reproduce this for sure, but i think it
happens when i paste a dir which i had entered before, and where not all
Thumbs where created.

Expected Results:
Nautilus moves the dir correct before it crashes..

How often does this happen?
Not too often. Every 40-50. dir move.

Additional Information:
ubuntu hoary (testing)
sven@deepblue:~ $ dpkg -l nautilus*

That seems to be a duplicate of bug #123051.

Could you get a backtrace of the crash with libglib2.0-0-dbg libgtk2.0-0-dbg
nautilus-dbg installed ? Are you using a list view ?

Comment 2 Sven Broeckling 2005-02-12 14:18:50 UTC
I've installed the -dgb packets, but i couldn't reproduce this.. updates follow..

I don't use a list view, the icon view is set to 100%. Unlike in Bug #123051, i
didn't drag the files, i use Ctrl-X/Ctrl-V.
