GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 166311
When opening files with dbf extension, precision is lost.
Last modified: 2005-02-07 20:05:31 UTC
1. Open a file with a .dbf extesion in Gnumeric that has a column of numbers with values between 0 and 1. 2. Notice that all the values ae shown as 0.
Standard out showed: Reading file:///C:/dc_tracts/48states.dbf FoxBASE+/dBASE III PLUS, no memo
Would it be possible for you to attach a sample file?
Created attachment 37001 [details] test dbf data set This data set has three columns, STATE_NAME (string), WHITE (floating point), BLACK (floating point). There are 49 row entries, corrisponding to the contiguous 48 states plus Washington DC.
thanks I'll have a look this evening.
Created attachment 37002 [details] test dbf data set This data set has three columns, STATE_NAME (string), WHITE (floating point), BLACK (floating point). There are 49 row entries, corrisponding to the contiguous 48 states plus Washington DC.
I did by best to make attachments, but I'm not sure I did it right. Let me know if I need to try again.
I see this too. (And loading the .dbf file in an editor shows that there really are fractional values in the file.)
Fixed in cvs.
