Using libbonoboui from CVS works. Is there anyway you could do a tarball release?

More info: I'm compiling GNOME 2.9.90 which ships with glib/gtk-2.6.

Confirming and setting milestone, since Bug #165874 already noticed (and 
probably explained) this, though it's fixed in CVS.

What version of libbonoboui is the tarball you're trying to build? What's the error?

This has been fixed in the latest release: 2.8.1
