Description Carsten Allefeld 2005-01-29 11:51:18 UTC
Distribution: Debian 3.1
Package: nautilus
Severity: enhancement
Version: GNOME2.8.1 2.8.x
Gnome-Distributor: Debian
Synopsis: nautilus: request restore of desktop right-click mounting
Bugzilla-Product: nautilus
Bugzilla-Component: Desktop
Bugzilla-Version: 2.8.x
Description:
Please describe your feature request:

In a previous version of the Gnome Desktop, there was an entry in the
desktop right-click menu with a submenu listing all of the mountable
devices from /etc/fstab. In this way, it was very easy and fast just to
mount a disk from the Desktop. This seems to have been replaced by the
"Computer" desktop symbol and the "computer://" pseudo folder. While
this new approach doesn't hurt, its not as convenient as the former and
I would like it very much if you would restore that feature. An even
better alternative would be a panel button which shows the menu of
mountables when clicked.
