Description Paul Sowden 2005-01-26 04:59:27 UTC
The path pop-up menu on the bottom left hand corner of Nautilus menus terminates
in several different places, when browsing the file system the topmost level is
"/" and when browsing a network place it is the top folder in the network place.

The menu should show all levels up to the "Computer". In the filesystem this
would be "Computer" > "Filesystem" > "etc" and for a network folder this would
be "Computer" > "Network" > "etc". This is how the relationships appear in the
actual windows when drilling down and should be maintained when traversing back
up the tree.

No, the "Computer" is not a root in that sense, no more than the desktop is a
root for the home dir (the home icon is on the desktop). We're not trying to
fake a hierarchy with "computer" on top, computer is just a location with links
to disks on the local system.
