Description Tony Tsui 2005-01-25 03:17:54 UTC
Please describe the problem:
Not sure if this is Gtk bug or a File-roller bug.

The Gtk+ file selector automatically selects the first item in a folder when the
folder is opened via the bookmarks menu. This makes using bookmarked folders in
File-roller unusable when trying to extract. This is because if the folder
contains a subfolder the first item selected will be the subfolder. This causes
File-roller to extract into the subfolder instead of the folder opened via the
bookmarks.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open a File-roller with a compressed file
2. Click on Extract button
3. Choose a folder in the bookmarks menu which contains a subfolder
4. Click on Extract

Actual results:
The compressed file will be extracted to the subfolder instead of the folder
opened via the bookmarks.

Expected results:
The compressed file should be extracted to the folder opened via the bookmarks.

Does this happen every time?
Yes
