Description Ronald Hummelink 2005-01-12 21:52:56 UTC
Totem could not play 'file:///home/ronald/Within Temptation/Mother Earth
(2001)/08 - Intro.mp3'.
Internal GStreamer error: caps problem. File a bug.

Ronald Bultje knows how to get access to the file...
Comment 1 Ronald Bultje 2005-01-17 10:52:51 UTC
I tried the file with xmms, mplayer and totem, none can play it. I tested the
header validity with mp3parse (gst-launch filesrc location=file.mp3 ! mp3parse !
fakesink --gst-debug-level=5 --gst-debug-no-color 2>&1 | grep mp3parse), and it
finds no valid sequence of frames anywhere.

Is this a valid mp3 file? Is there any player out there that plays this?
Comment 2 Ronald Bultje 2005-01-17 11:39:52 UTC
mpg321 appears to play it. On closer inspection, ffdec_mp3 plays it too. Mad
keeps giving 'forbidden bitrate' errors. I'm not sure why it does that. However,
this is a GStreamer bug.
