Description Virgo Vardja 2005-01-11 12:50:21 UTC
I recently upgraded from gimp 2.0.X to 2.2.X and discovered that it is no longer possible to use the keyboard [and especially filename autocompletion] in the 'Open' dialog. Instead, the user has to click through the entire directory hierarchy to browse to a file. Rudimentary Windows-style filename completion does exist in the 'Save' dialog. That, however, does not hold a candle to the good old bash-style autocompletion with TAB key.

Could it be possible to re-add the power of automatic filename completion to dialogs?

Thank you.

It's still there in the Ctrl-L popup.
