When using GIMP 2 or higher on Windows98 en XP I often get an error dialog with
"Warning (recursed) Couldn't load MS Sans Serif 8 falling back to Sans 8 aborting"
and secondly
"Runtime Error! Program ... abnormal program termination"

The warning isn't an error and the application doesn't crash. You abort it by
closing the warning dialog. Please update your copies of GIMP and GTK+, they are
outdated and the problem has been fixed already. Since this is in the FAQ at
Jernej's site, I am closing your report as INVALID.

In this case, it was a crash caused by GLib aborting.  This is the same fatal
"recursed" error from Pango as described in bug #163740 and others such as bug
#112401.
