Description Carl Worth 2005-01-04 21:59:57 UTC
Perform the following operations all in the same terminal:

1) Select "foo"
2) Ctrl-shift-C
3) Ctrl-shift-V (pastes "foo")
4) Select "bar"
5) Ctrl-shift-V (pastes "bar")

The above behavior is inconsistent with the freedesktop.org clipboard specification:

http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Standards/clipboards-spec

Which says that "paste" should only pastes something from the CLIPBOARD
selection which should only be set by an explicit "copy" operation, (eg.
text selection doesn't count).

Note that selecting text in a different instance of gnome-terminal does
not seem to cause the incorrect behavior.
