Description Francisco Camenforte Torres 2004-12-18 21:08:55 UTC
Distribution: Debian 3.1
Package: nautilus
Severity: enhancement
Version: GNOME2.8.1 unspecified
Gnome-Distributor: Debian
Synopsis: Better user notification of dropping into a folder/trash
Bugzilla-Product: nautilus
Bugzilla-Component: File and Folder Operations
Bugzilla-Version: unspecified
Description:
Please describe your feature request:

When dragging a file to a folder or the trash, it's hard to make sure
the recipient is highlighted (specially when dragging large thumbnails).
Sometimes you just end with the file icon hiding the trash icon beneath
it.

When dragging files to the panel, the mouse cursor changes into a
cross-like one. This does not happen in file operations though.

Also, when dragging over something, even if the icon of the dragged file
is large, its whole area isn't used to check if it's "touching" the icon
beneath, but a rather small area. Perhaps this should be changed, since
it seems like the main cause of the problem.

I request this cause, as silly as it seems, it frequently happens to
me.
