GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 161162
file selector should remember it's size
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
1. start gedit 2. open the open-file dialog 3. enlarge the file-chooser dialog 4. select a file and open it 5. close gedit 6. open gedit again 7. open the open-file dialog it still on the system-default state. it should remember it's size between it's invocations. or at least, is there a system-wide (session-wide) (gconf?) setting that specifies the initial-size of a file-chooser-dialog? it's extremely inconvenient as it is for now. btw. imho the default size should be a lot bigger. i don't understand why is a dialog like this so small. it's not on the screen all the time after all. i always use it in a near-fullscreen (half to 2/3 of the screen) size.
