changing remembered transaction unbalances split

I am attempting to enter a transaction in which I sell some mutual fund shares and transfer the money to my checking account. This transaction is remembered and prefilled with previous amounts (the previous ones were imported from Quicken98). However, I need to change the number of shares and amount of money. This appears to be successful in the register for the account of the mutual funds. However, when I highlight the part of the split transferring the money to the checking account, I find that a different amount is shown in the checking account. If I try to adjust this end of the split, the end in the mutual fund account is automatically adjusted to show an incorrect higher amount. I am attempting to enter the transaction in the mutual fund account's register.
Thanks for taking the time to report this bug. This bug report isn't very useful because it doesn't describe the bug well. If you have time and can still reproduce the bug, please read http://bugzilla.gnome.org/bug-HOWTO.html and add a more useful description to this bug. This might very well be related to the editing of multi-currency transactions, but we would need an exact step-by-step description on how to reproduce this before we can work on this. Also, there are other bugs in bugzilla related to editing of multi-currency transaction, so you might consider searching for those and adding your additional comments if they seem to be related.
I agree: the description could be better. Using svn 13366, I can still reproduce this defect. However, I have to use a data file I created from importing Quicken98 data. It does not reproduce using my test data file (created with an earlier g2). Since this file contains my real data, and is nearly 1M in size, I do not wish to submit it. I am attempting to see if this can be reproduced in another way. Currently, I have a transaction where the end in the mutual fund account shows -100 units at a price of $10 for $1000. However, the other end shows $2000 being deposited into the checking account.
Mark, this is pretty closely related to bug#161518, isn't it? I marked that as a duplicate of bug#106671, which was my first thought when I saw this bug, too. Please reopen if you do not agree that this is a dup of bug#106671. Keep in mind that, from GnuCash's view, there's very little difference between stock transactions and multi-currency transactions. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 106671 ***
