It would be nice to have the measure information dialog displayed until the user
closes it for himself, or the dialog can be docked like eg. the error console.

If you measure a line or something similar and try to create a new line with the
measure results, you've to keep the results in mind or write them down, because
after selecting a different tool, the dialog is gone. 

Reproduce:
1. Measure something on an image with the measure tool
2. Select a different tool.

An even better option would be to expose the information in the measure tool as a context item,

say a gimp_context_get_measure

that could be exposed in the PDB and then easilly available to plugins and scripts.
