GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 160164
Logout fading should remain permanent after the logout has begun
Last modified: 2008-06-25 19:33:53 UTC
I have seen on one or two of my machines that while gnome-session is in the process of logging-out, it sometimes fails to keep the screen faded-out while it is closing applications. To me, this looks a bit tacky.
Thanks for your bug. What version of gnome-session do you use?
I have seen this with every version of gnome-session that I have used, though I cannot confidently confirm it with the latest CVS versions, because I have not checked-out and built a release in a long time. On my machine now, the version is 2.10.0
I confirm this on all gnome I've ever used. It's also reported here : http://bugzilla.ubuntu.com/show_bug.cgi?id=12433
Some years later and this is still the case. I just thought I'd mention it in case someone was able to look at it...
Stock GNOME doesn't use fading on logout dialog anymore... This is basically an Ubuntu-specific feature, isn't it?
Closing as obsolete. Feel free to re-open if you have a strong reason to disagree.
