Description younker 2004-11-22 02:43:04 UTC
build XFCE 4.1.91 or XFCE 4.1.99.1 or emacs 21.3.50 CVS version,
right click on XFCE desktop or click the menu on emacs menubar
then move your mouse and click to other area, the menu will not clear the area
it occupied when it popuped.

downgrade to gtk+2.4.13, both xfce and emacs run well.

My X is Xorg 6.8.1

I can confirm this on Ubuntu Hoary with GTK+ 2.5.5 and 2.5.6 and XFCE 4.2 RC1
and RC2. Xorg version also 6.8.1 with NVIDIA driver 1.0-6629. Kernel version
2.6.9.

Emacs bugs, take it up with them. GTK+ apps are not allowed to assume that
windows will be cleared to their background color on expose if they turn
off double-buffering.

(GTK+-2.6 expands the cases where no clearing occurs, but there have been
cases where the background wasn't cleared since 2.0)
