GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 158538
TIFF files from 1901 UK Census display as mirror image
Last modified: 2010-07-10 04:06:35 UTC
I downloaded some TIFF files from the 1901 UK census site (http://www.1901census.nationalarchives.gov.uk/). In Gthumb they display as mirror images, while in ImageMagick they display normally. (note: images from that site cost money. Email me if you need me to send you one.)
this must be a bug in gdk-pixbuf which is used to load images.
We won't be able to do much on this without an image demonstrating the problem.
TIFF also uses EXIF for orientation information, right ? That makes this a duplicate of bug 168231, I guess *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 168231 ***
Gary, Can you email me one of the sample images (mjc@avtechpulse.com)? A patch is being developed in bug 428725. - Mike
This is a libtiff issue, see http://bugzilla.remotesensing.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1548. - Mike
