Description Gary Walsh 2004-11-17 06:20:00 UTC
I downloaded some TIFF files from the 1901 UK census site
(http://www.1901census.nationalarchives.gov.uk/). In Gthumb they display as
mirror images, while in ImageMagick they display normally. (note: images from
that site cost money. Email me if you need me to send you one.)
Comment 1 Paolo Bacchilega 2004-12-20 14:28:57 UTC
this must be a bug in gdk-pixbuf which is used to load images.
Comment 2 Matthias Clasen 2004-12-23 20:08:58 UTC
We won't be able to do much on this without an image demonstrating the problem.
Comment 3 Matthias Clasen 2005-06-18 14:47:16 UTC
TIFF also uses EXIF for orientation information, right ?
That makes this a duplicate of bug 168231, I guess

Gary,

Can you email me one of the sample images (mjc@avtechpulse.com)?

A patch is being developed in bug 428725.

This is a libtiff issue, see http://bugzilla.remotesensing.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1548.
