Last modified: 2005-02-03 14:53:07 UTC
1. Connect to a server by ssh 2. Go to the /home folder 3. Make a "ls -l" 4. Look a the User and Group owner 5. Create a mounted volume (protocol sftp) on the same server as previous 6. Open the volume 7. Go to the folder /home 8. Switch to the List view 9. Display the column Name,Size,Type,Goup,Owner Result : The owner and group displayed by Nautilus are totally wrong, these are the local user and group of the person which run Nautilus. View the difference (((baptiste@malabar)))-> ll total 32 drwxr-xr-x 9 baptiste users 4096 Oct 18 22:11 baptiste drwxr-sr-x 17 celia users 4096 Nov 16 21:51 celia drwxr-xr-x 3 dodji dodji 4096 Feb 11 2004 dodji drwxr-xr-x 4 ftp ftp 4096 Sep 8 20:56 ftp drwx------ 2 root root 16384 Oct 11 2003 lost+found I'll attach a Nautilus screenshot
